MATRIX-N & CAAP Collaborations

MATRIX-N is closely involved in CAAP's Research Committee, which stands as an expert advisory body dedicated to advancing the discourse on psychiatric and mental health research. The Clinical Research Committee’s focus includes clinical research and innovation within the field of addiction psychiatry across Canada and internationally. Employing evidence-based research and practices, the CAAP Research Committee endeavors to pioneer transformative data aimed at understanding, diagnosing, preventing, and treating concurrent mental health disorders and substance use challenges. MATRIX-N and CAAP are working together to establish collaborative efforts to develop innovative interventions for mental health and substance use disorders and to set up a Canadian clinical trials network in the field.

 

CAAP's Conference in 2024

The first Canadian Academy for Addiction Psychiatry (CAAP) conference ‘Psychiatry in a Time of Crisis: Paving the Road to Recovery’ took place on Oct 21 & 22, 2024 in the heart of downtown Vancouver. The impactful event brought together clinicians and professionals from across Canada to address the growing challenges facing the healthcare system relating to addictions and concurrent disorders.

 

MATRIX-N co-lead and CAAP co-founder, Dr. Michael Krausz, gives a keynote presentation at the 2024 Canadian Academy for Addiction Psychiatry (CAAP) conference ‘Psychiatry in a Time of Crisis: Paving the Road to Recovery'.

CAAP's Next Conference: Sep 4-6, 2025 

The Canadian Academy for Addiction Psychiatry (CAAP) is thrilled to announce its 2nd annual conference on Sep 4-6 2025, "From Reaction To Response: Integrating Approaches to Building a System of Care". It will be hosted at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in partnership with the World Association on Dual Disorders (WADD), 9th World Congress.
